The cotton used for our garments comes from India and is 100% organic.
It has a stringent certification that guarantees the cotton is organically grown without the use of genetically modified seeds or any harmful chemical products (pesticides, fertilisers and insecticides) that are dangerous for the environment and the health of farmers or factory workers.
Recycling polyester allows for considerable energy savings in the manufacturing process.
Plastic waste has become one of the major environmental challenges of our time – globally, about 9.5 million tons of plastic are thrown into the ocean annually, most of it single-used.
Cleaned, melted and purified, the plastic from PET bottles becomes flakes. Combined with cotton this is used to create clothing fabrics which are soft, durable and breathable. The recycled yarn is sourced mainly from China. Our supplier recycles what would otherwise become polluting waste.
We offer contemporary clothing made with respect for people and the earth. Our mission is to create high quality garments in a responsible and ethical way.
How we work, who we work with & what materials we use is carefully selected. We at Itoro have been searching for a while until we found a supplier who meets our requirements.
The basics we use come certified in all the high standarts like GOTS, FairWear, and OekoTex to name just a few of them. These ensure that there´s real sustainable development in the fashion world – most off all in those parts of the earth where the biggest mess was caused.
